Padel Victoria opened its outdoor courts in September. The club was new, the brand was new, and the season had already started, so the site had to do two things at once: introduce a club nobody knew yet, and let players book a court in under a minute.

Angela and Judith came in with a detailed brief. We worked through a series of HTML mockups first, built around the SV Victoria colours, so everyone could see and feel the layout before a single line of WordPress was written. Once the direction was approved, the design moved straight into the build.

The result reads as a club rather than a booking portal: lessons, memberships, group events and house rules all sit alongside the courts themselves.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Padel clubs usually hide their booking behind a separate platform. Players read about a club, get enthusiastic, and are then handed off to something that looks nothing like it.

Victoria wanted the opposite: one place, one tone of voice, from the first visit to the confirmation email.

WHAT WE DID

The MovitSport booking system sits inside the site itself, with the date preloaded so players start on today instead of an empty form. Picking a court, choosing a duration and paying with iDEAL all happen without leaving the site.

Behind the scenes: an iframe fix to keep the embed responsive, SMTP set up through WP Mail SMTP so confirmation emails actually arrive, and editable sections for trainer bios, FAQ and house rules that the club maintains itself.

The site went live on 1 September, the same day the courts opened.
